So the knitted blanket I was making for mr 2’s birthday ended up being a total disaster! No worries! I got out my trusty 200 blocks book and got to work, and so have a few more blocks to add to my total.
I’m pretty chuffed, and glad I persevered and learnt the braid join! No rest for the wicked however, it is mr 2’s birthday a month after hers, and he is getting a knitted blanket. (and I am such a slow knitter!!!)
Gosh it feels like I have been gone forever, we have moved house, moved towns, hubby has a new job, and life just gets in the way sometimes unfortunately.
Not much crafting has been done, but I do have some new blocks in my 200 blocks project to show you. These ones are being made into a blanket for miss 8’s birthday in August. I have skipped quite a few blocks, as I wanted blocks that are made in the round rather than by row for her blanket, but I will be going back and catching up on the others soon.
First off, here are the next 5 blocks for the 200 blocks CAL. These ones are off to Woolies for Tassie, with more to come.
Block 11 – Baby blocks:
Block 12 – Fine lines:
Block 13 – Circle in a square:
Block 14 – Alhambra:
And block 15 – Corner square:
I am also working on squares for a blanket for the broadmedow palliative care unit, and squares for a blanket for the hamlin fistula hospital in ethiopia, and today am working on this weeks in a spin block!
I also have had some friends ask for some baby beanies and headbands, I think they will have to wait until next week!
